Black Friday

 Turned out awesome. <3

Woke up at 5:15, got there around 6, grabbed a Nikon Coolpix P80 and ran back.

There were many cars, everywhere, in the Best Buy parking lot. All these people grabbing things they wouldn't need without ads for less.

It was a long day, actually..

Later, I went out with Matt on bike/scooter and we stayed outside for about 2 hours just because Steven was there.

Steven is the coolest guy I EVER met. He isn't married, but he lives on the edge. Everything he does is inspiring.. mostly because he's a lone James Potter of his own kind. He was a jock, KIND OF, in HS and didn't quite go far in college. Instead, he learned how to survive in the wild and all these other cool things.

He was telling me about his archery skills, how he was aiming at the street light outside, missed and it went all the way to the other side of the road, in some guy's front yard. The poor guy installed a camera ever since.

Steven helps people camp. Has a whole bunch of tents (one of them is now mine) and uses them. Says he can survive a week out in a forest as long as he has a knife. Though if there's rocks, he can get away with no knife.

I look up to him and I wish more people did at least a bit of what he does. He is survival-smart, and not many people even know what that means.

Right now he is probably in New Hampshire, in that shack he told us about. It was in the vicinity of 12 degrees the other night (which explains why he was standing in nothing but pants and a sweatshirt in 50-or something like that- degree weather) and since he is seriously in the middle of nowhere, he spent it in that exact temperature due to heat failing.

He works somewhere on a mountain or something. I am horrid with geology much like most americans (sadly), so I am unsure if there ARE mountains in NH, but he says he goes skiing and helps people that come there for that type of snow-related stuff. Steve even mentioned dogs, like those sledding types. Once again, I don't quite know what those are called.

He's a really nice guy. Loves Dane Cook, so we laughed about random parts from the CD. He said he's enjoying life before marriage.. but I wonder if he ever WILL get married if he is always "in the middle of nowhere." Heck, I'd marry him if I didn't have my eyes on someone I've had my eyes on for about 5 years.

I do hope that nothing bad happens out where he is. He seems to enjoy it, but living alone like he does cannot end too well in case something does.

After I left him to find that knife he threw into a tree in his backyard (O_o), I went straight home. But, of course, being weak as I am, health wise, I now have a throat that hurts worse than when I broke my hand.

Steve would probably chuckle at that, being the king of random injuries like he is and all..

Maybe I'll upload his picture on this entry later. Just to refresh him in detail whenever I go back to this post.

Basic survival skills are not actually that difficult or uncommon. That being said, all people should have them.
